I’m getting settled in. I like my neighborhood and apartment. I don’t have Internet access in my apartment, however I am going to the library every day to look for jobs; they have WiFi there. Yesterday, my friend Wes invited me and four others to brunch in the Park. It was good food and company. But the purpose wasn’t just social. It was to shoot a film (at least part of the film). Our job was only to occasionally pause where he positioned us. Its actually going to be shown next month at a gallery (i’ll let you know if it ever makes it to Youtube).

Rule of St. Benedict 4:47 - Cast away that despair produced by the realization of your weakness. It's true: financially you are a zero, and socially another zero, and another in virtues, and another in talent... Hi… I was walking down Charles Street and saw window washers and looked up to see if it was you and then realized it couldn’t be! HA!! Glad you’re liking your new place. I moved to Mt Vernon Square right behind the Methodist church…
Dear Jeff,
I am usually out of the loop of the news of the extended gang. Where in Chicago are you and what are you doing there?
And was it a Freudian moment when you typoed yourself as a “covert” to Catholicism.
I hope that you are well and settling in nicely in my second home city. If you are ever close enough and available, try to visit Fourth Pres sometime (across from the Hancock Tower) and Church of the Ascension (Anglo-Catholic, several blocks up from Moody Bible Institute on LaSalle).
Scott:
Thanks for the spell check… I am the worst….
Yes, I have been to Church of the Ascension on my previous visits (then i was Anglican). It is amazing and the organist is a genius. I went last year on Trinity Sunday and they chanted the whole Athanasian Creed in Procession… I think this type of commitment is certainly rare….
Adam:
Good to hear from you, I’m glad to hear you moved to MV it certainly will be closer to church and work, congrats….
Hi, Jeffrey!
Great blog, welcome to Chicago!
St. John is my parish also.
Stop by and see us nutbags in the library after 12:30 Mass sometime.
😉
